The company recently launched a online form Developer Interest Survey to gauge enthusiasm and gather feedback from app makers interested in integrating this feature. Preliminary testing was conducted via Codex CLI, an open-source AI coding tool, allowing developers to link their ChatGPT accounts to API accounts. OpenAI encouraged adoption of this feature by offering API credits to Plus and Pro users who logged into ChatGPT during the preview phase.
